Miniature American Shepherds, like Australian Shepherds, are an exceptional dog breed. Formerly known as Miniature Australian Shepherds, they have the same amazing personalities as the Aussies. Not only are they amazingly intelligent, they are loyal companions, wonderful therapy or service dogs, and excel in agility, They love to please their masters, their stubborn streaks, notwithstanding. in each section below, we will share a bit on the three things we find so utterly endearing about Mini American Shepherds, besides their incredible looks. While their looks are striking, it is the deeper qualities that make this the finest breed out there, in our opinion. Intelligence
Miniature American Shepherds (MAS) are highly intelligent dogs! While not as intense as the Border Collie, and several other breeds, they are highly trainable thanks to their strong desire to please their masters. To successfully manage this intelligence requires knowing the dog, having a strong bond, and staying one step ahead. They can be sneaky. And they can be stubborn. Or both. Observing how they interact, and responding to those instincts with appropriate training is critical to cohabitating happily with MAS.
