​December 26, 2025 we welcomed a beautiful litter of puppies into our home! We are smitten! The number was surprising, as mama -- Princess Willow -- is only a bit over 20 lbs, only had one mating and wasn't looking overly large. In the days leading up to the whelping, we could easily find 4 strong heartbeats, and Christmas Day we found 6. During whelping, labour seemed to have paused, even though I could feel one more baby, so we took a break as well. When we returned, not long after, we were shocked to find there were three freshly-birthed puppies. All three were limp and struggling. For the next hour we massaged, suctioned and warmed the babies, letting mama lick them for bonding. One bounced back fairly quickly and started nursing. A second took 20 to 30 minutes. The third was touch and go for an hour. After 6 rounds of artificial resuscitation she came around and within a short time, was nursing like the strongest of them. The puppies are thriving and mama is doing exceptionally well.

Willow is a beautiful red merle dam with a very sweet and gentle nature. She loves all people, loves other dogs, and especially loves children. Winston, a striking sire, with soulful eyes, is a bouncy happy boy. He loves people generously. Both are health tested and produce outstanding puppies. ​​​​​​​​​​
